July 24-25, 2024
College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn
What is Fish Tank?

Welcome to the Tank!
Inspired by the world-renowned series, Shark Tank, the Fish Tank competition invites 3rd-9th grade students in the Chicagoland area to identify a market opportunity and introduce a new business, product, or service.
Hosted at the College of DuPage on July 24th & 25th with some of Naperville's biggest business owners and leaders, participants will take their big innovations to an even bigger stage.
Entrepreneurial Experience
Students gain real-world entrepreneurial experience by developing a business concept from ideation to pitch, learning critical skills in market research, product development, and financial planning.
Expert Mentorship
All participants will receive detailed feedback from our high school judges, while finalists will also receive feedback from our panel of professional judges. In addition, all students will be provided with contact information for our high school business leaders, offering continued support and guidance as they begin to build their ventures.
Funding Opportunities
Fish Tank winners will receive a total of $750 to help launch their businesses: $250 for first place, $200 for second, $150 for third, $100 for fourth, and $50 for fifth. In addition to the cash prizes, all participants will gain access to year-round support and resources to further develop their ventures. The pitch may be over, but the journey to bring their entrepreneurial ideas to life is just getting started.
